A Board of Directors governs the Foundation. The Directors conduct the business of the Foundation, serve as ambassadors to encourage community awareness, and seek to promote the growth of the Ringwood Education Foundation. In addition to the nine voting Directors, the superintendent and a representative of the Ringwood School Board serve as non-voting members.
Larry Nance, President, Carmen H.S. GraduateLarry attended Northwestern State University, graduating with a bachelor's degree in business education and a master's degree in educational administration. Larry taught business and coached for six years at Sweetwater and three years at Central Marlow before moving to Ringwood in 1980. He spent 32 years teaching, coaching and serving as athletic director and principal at Ringwood High School before retiring. Larry and his late wife, Lloydene, have three daughters, Ladena, Lori and Lana, as well as twelve grandchildren. Larry enjoys yard work and following his grandchildren's activities.

Maggie Baker, President-Elect, RHS GraduateMaggie graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor’s degree in English. She worked at Hope Outreach, Inc. as the Community Care Coordinator, before becoming the director of Project ABC, a character education program taught in four counties in northwest Oklahoma. She became an English/Language Arts/Reading teacher for three years at Pioneer Junior High and High School before deciding to stay home full time to raise her children. Maggie and her husband, Kory, have four children, three of whom attend Ringwood Schools. Maggie and Kory have led a weekly youth program at their church for many years. She is the secretary of the Ringwood Elementary Booster Club and serves as the clerk on the Ringwood Board of Education. She represented the Ringwood Board of Education as a non-voting member of the Ringwood Education Foundation Board of Directors for five years before being elected as a voting Director.

Judy (Hays) Maples, Secretary, RHS GraduateJudy graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a bachelor’s degree in Early
Childhood Education. She has spent the past 22 professional years teaching pre-kindergarten at the following schools: Timberlake Public Schools, Oklahoma School for the Deaf, Ardmore Methodist Preschool and Ryan Public Schools. She, her husband Pete and their two daughters returned to the Ringwood area 6 years ago and she is currently back at Timberlake, where her career began. Judy and Pete, who is also an educator, have been married for 25 years. They have two daughters, Mary and Hannah and two granddaughters. In her spare time, Judy enjoys reading, working on cross stitch projects, traveling with her sisters, and visiting her grandchildren. |
Michael Doll, Treasurer, RHS GraduateMike attended Northwestern State University, graduating with a double major in accounting and math. He worked as an accountant for Conoco, first in the Refining and Marketing Group, next in Exploration and Production accounting, and then in the Corporate Accounting Group. He moved to Houston with the Exploration and Production Functional Group for 2 years before moving to the Netherlands. He worked there for 1 year with Continental Netherlands Oil Company, a subsidiary of Conoco, before returning to Ponca City. Mike retired after working more than 27 years for Conoco. He and his wife, Judy (Haworth) Doll, have been married for 50 years and live in Ringwood. They have 2 daughters, 4 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Mike farms and performs contract accounting services.

Becky Guffy, Director, Lavern H. S. GraduateBecky graduated from Oklahoma Panhandle State University with a double major in elementary education and physical education. She taught 26 years in the Ringwood Elementary School, retiring in 2006. She still enjoys substituting and being around the students. Becky is married to Rod Guffy. They have three children: Angi, Jon and Ami, all of whom graduated from RHS. They also have 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Rod and Becky are members of the First Baptist Church. Becky spends her time following grandkids (some around the world), reading, and cross stitching. She loves to travel.

Melinda Meister, Director, Enid H. S. GraduateMelinda is married to Steve Meister, RHS graduate. They have two daughters who are also RHS graduates, Stephanie and Stacy, and have five grandchildren. Melinda was a teacher’s assistant at Ringwood Elementary for 11 years, taught four-year old children at Lighthouse Preschool for five years, and currently is a substitute teacher at Northwest Technology Center in Fairview, OK. She serves as the Sunday school superintendent for her church, teaches Sunday school and serves on the Local Board of Administration. She loves spending time with family, antique shopping, and photography.

Oscar Melendez, Jr., Director, RHS GraduateOscar attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University and University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, majoring in business administration. He currently serves on multiple committees for non-profits and volunteers with many groups and organizations. Oscar helps his mother manage her restaurant and food trucks. He is currently employed full time as the Health & Safety Director for a local oil & gas company. Oscar and his wife, Taylor, live in a small town with their three sons Julian, Nakai and Amias. He and his family enjoy traveling the country. Oscar runs marathons for enjoyment and to stay in shape.

Debbie Rapp, Director, Pioneer-Pleasant Vale H. S. GraduateDebbie received her associate degree from Northern Oklahoma College, Tonkawa, where she was a member of the women’s track team. She received her bachelor's degree in Vocational Home Economics Education (now Family and Consumer Sciences Education) from Central State University (now University of Central Oklahoma). Debbie taught Family and Consumer Sciences for five years at Drummond Public School and for twenty-eight years at Ringwood Public Schools. She retired in 2014. Debbie has been married to her husband, David, for forty-two years. She is the proud mother of Dylan, Kelsey and Taylor and blessed Grammy to Josie, Tucker and Leona. Her hobbies include traveling with her husband, reading, sewing, walking, and playing with her grandchildren. She is a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Lahoma where she enjoys teaching Sunday School and participating in Lutheran Women’s Missionary League activities.

Jorge Rojas, Director, RHS GraduateFollowing graduation from Ringwood High School in 2004, Jorge enlisted in the United States Navy. He served two tours of duty and one deployment to the Pacific where the Navy maintained a presence in the Persian Gulf and surrounding areas of the fleet. He visited ports in Australia, Bahrain, and Dubai. Traveling the world, he was able to see many beautiful places. He served as an H60 helicopter mechanic for the HSL-49 Scorpions aboard the USS Ingraham and a mechanic and in-flight technician for the HSC-3 Merlins. He left the service in 2012 and began working for R&R Oilfield Company. He is currently a manager for Basic Energy Services. Jorge’s wife, Yesenia, also served and continues to serve in the US Navy as an Information Systems Technician in the Reserves. He looks forward to proudly serving his community as a board member.

Wade Detrick, Ringwood Schools Superintendent, Non-Voting Member, Ames H. S. GraduateWade attended Redlands Community College before transferring to Oklahoma State University where he graduated with a degree in agriculture education. Wade and his wife, Tina (Chitwood) Detrick, have 2 girls, Rylee and Reagan. While teaching agricultural sciences in Fairview, Wade earned his master's degree in school administration. Wade served as PreK-12 principal at Dover Public Schools for 4 years and served as junior and high school principal at Fletcher Public Schools for 1 year before moving back to the Ringwood area to serve as junior and high school principal for 4 years. He is the superintendent of Ringwood Public Schools. Wade enjoys spending time with his daughters in all of their school activities, as well as hunting and fishing.

Marcia Mason Blom, Advisor, RHS GraduateMarcia attended Oklahoma State University where she earned bachelor and master's degrees. She was a speech-language pathologist, diagnostician, and coordinator in Atlanta, Georgia for 6 years before working for the Department of Defense Dependents Schools (DoDDS) in Japan, Korea, and Germany. She worked overseas as a speech-language pathologist, early childhood coordinator, special education coordinator, and as a coordinator of special services for nearly 2,000 students overseas attending non-DoDDS schools or being home-schooled. She retired after 36 years in education and returned to Ringwood with her husband, John M. Blom. She enjoys traveling and reading.
